No Sugar Company Pretzel Dipz

The No Sugar Company is a pretty straightforward brand.
"We believe that refined sugar is bad for you and should be left out of most foods — plain and simple. This is why we want to be the first company committed to having no sugar in any of our products! No Sugar Company was the first to make a delicious no sugar keto bar, and we are committed to continually creating revolutionary no sugar products. We believe that a healthy lifestyle is the key to a happy life, and No Sugar Company is here to support those looking to take control of their diet.

All of our products are made with no sugar, 100% pure nut butters, organic coconut oil, fair trade organic cocoa, and exclusive, sustainably sourced dark chocolate."

Well, then.  No sugar.  I can't say this is aligned with my dietary preferences in any way.  Sure, I do try to limit random excess sugar, but, I certainly eat plenty of sugar, and don't seek to explicitly leave it out.  The company makes a pretty random assortment of products, ranging from beverages (including energy drinks and protein drinks), to bars (several styles), to chocolate confections, to snacks, to gummy supplements.  They launched in 2019 on The Home Shopping Network (which, side note, I had no idea still existed!), but are now carried nationwide at big retailers like Walmart, or, where I found them: Amazon.

I tried only one product line, the snacks that called out to me.

Pretzel Dipz

Discover the unique creamy and crunchy balance of zero sugar yogurt pretzel rods. Treat yourself or a loved one, and look forward to a delightful experience that keeps you coming back for more!"

Of course I went right for the sweet & salty snacky item.  Prezel Dipz are available in only two flavors: vanilla or strawberry yogurt.

Strawberry Yogurt Flavor.
"A sweet and salty new bite-sized snack that will satisfy your sweet tooth without the guilt. These crunchy pretzels are coated in a deliciously sweet strawberry yogurt flavor."

These are almost awesome.  Except, that they wound up in the trash for me, because they have one major shortcoming.  I rarely throw out a snack food, but, wow, I just couldn't with these.

On the awesome side, I LOVED the form factor, which they call a "puff pretzel center".  It is a thin puffy pretzel, hollow inside.  You can crack it in half in a really satisfying way.  The pretzel itself was good tasting too, and I'm kinda fickle about pretzels.  So pretzel part?  A+.

They are really well coated in the creamy yogurt coating.  Also great.  The strawberry flavor is nice.  They use real strawberry.  But then ... zomg, the fake sweetness takes over, in SUCH a strong way.  The taste is horrible.  It stuck with me.  It lingered.  I couldn't get away from the erythritol.  I wanted to scrape all that awful coating off and just eat the tasty pretzels.  But I couldn't (I actually tried).

Great form factor.  Great strawberry flavor. But truly inedible product, at least for me. High 4/5 for form, but 1/5 in the end.  Tragic.
